EyeCanSeeClearlyNow - Animation builds Facebook and web-traffic
Crizal needed to market sophisticated lenses which consumers overlook in favour of flattering spectacles, make the invisible (lenses) visible to consumers and nudge traffic to its website and Facebook page.
As part of a bigger programme, we created and ran a nationwide animation competition online to generate witty, inspiring branded animations promoting Crizal benefits and the #EYECANSEECLEARLYNOW hashtag, which we posted on Crizal’s website.
The public voted for their favourites on a specially created Facebook app which attracted 7,860 visits, 2,383 votes and 521 page likes. Lent prestige by a panel of BAFTA recognised animators and experts we organised and ran a formal judging ceremony to crown the winner.
The project was seen as a novel approach to a neglected product category which also enabled the client to effectively ‘own’ their hashtag and generate exciting new content.
