Prince Happy and the paparazzi effect

We say hats off to the charity WellChild which celebrated the courage of seriously ill children and the dedication of their carers at their recent London awards ceremony.

Alongside WellChild’s patron Prince Harry, dozens of stars attended the awards including Olympians Mark Foster and Peter Wilson, stars from Harry Potter films, Dragon’s Den, Strictly Dancing, Holby City and Made in Chelsea.

The charity plugs gaps in NHS funds for research and provides nurses for specialist care. It also does home improvement projects where there is a very ill child - such as decorating a child’s bedroom or creating a garden to be sensory or wheelchair-friendly.

They are efficient in how they use their money, good with sponsors, organise events brilliantly and manage the media with flair.

The paparazzi were out in force all night at the awards. The best image of the night was Harry’s charming response to the five-year old girl who licked his face from chin to hairline.
